ARRESTS

Vincent Harvey of Upper Prickley Pear Alley was formally arrested and charged for offences of Possession of Cannabis and Obstruction Under The Drug Act, which were committed at West Bourne Ghaut on 15 July 2014.

Cavin Grant of Fort Thomas Road was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Building Breaking and Larceny, which was committed on 29 June 2014.

COURT CONVICTIONS

DISTRICT “A” MAGISTRATE’S COURT

Saskia Gordon of St. Paul Village was convicted for the offence of Simple Larceny which was committed on 5 May 2012, and fined of $1000.00 which is to be paid in two (2) months or in default will serve four (4) months in prison. She was also ordered to pay compensation to the victim in the sum of $634.00 in four (4) weeks or in default will serve one (1) month in prison.

Shawn Flemming of La Guerite was convicted for the offence of Malicious Damage which was committed on 9 July 2012, and cautioned. He was also ordered to pay compensation of $250.00 to the victim in one (1) month or in default will serve two (2) months in prison with hard labour.

DISTRICT “B” MAGISTRATE’S COURT

Toby Cannonier of Parsons Village was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 15 February 2014 at Parson Village, and fined $1500.00 which is to be paid by 15 August 2014, or, in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison with hard labour.

DISTRICT “C” MAGISTRATE’S COURT

Esau Slack of Low Street was convicted of the offences of Malicious Damage which were committed on 23 May 2014 and Indecent Language which was committed on 5 July 2014, and sentence to six (6) months in prison for each offence which are to run concurrently.

Clayton Mills of Bath Village was convicted and fined $800.00 in three (3) Months or one (1) month imprisonment for possession of cannabis. Occurrence took place at Charlestown on 23rd May 2014.

Carlton Tyson of Jessups Village was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 3 July 2014, and fined $1500.00 which is to be paid in six (6) months or in default will serve six (6) months in prison.

Seymour Williams of Old Hospital Road was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed 14 July 2014, and fined $800.00 which is to be paid in three (3) months or in default will serve one (1) month in prison.

Ian Dubbery of Barnes Ghaut was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 14 July 2014, and fined $800.00 which is to be paid in three (3) months or in default will serve one (1) month in prison.

Collis Caines of Church Ground was convicted and fined $800 in three months or one month in prison for Driving without insurance or a driver’s licence. Offence committed on 10 July 2014.

ST. CHRISTOPHER CIRCUIT COURT

On Wednesday 16 July 2014 Ramona Phillip of Fort Thomas Road, Basseterre was convicted for the offence of Building Breaking and Larceny, or, Receiving on 16 July 2014, and will return to the court on 25 July 2014 for sentencing.
