ARRESTS

Jamal Mc Sheen of Cayon, Omax Bye of Fort Thomas Road and Zambi Heath of Cardin Avenue were formally arrested and charged for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition, which were committed on 16th October 2014.

Rhet Pemberton of New Road was formally arrested and charged for the offences of Refusing To Give Name, Resisting Arrest, Battery On Police and Making Use of Indecent Language, which were committed on 18/10/14.

COURT CONVICTIONS

District “B” Magistrate’s Court

Darius Warner of Parson Ground was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 10 September 2013, and fined $1000.00 which is to be paid by 31 October 2014 or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison with hard labour.

Calvin Archibald of Sandy Point was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 31 MArch 2014, and sentenced to fourteen (14) days in prison.

Cheryl Moore of Saddlers Village was convicted for the offence of Threatening Language which was committed on 5 June 2014, and fined $400.00 which is to be paid by 31 October 2014 or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison.

Paul Sutton of Conyers Village was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 28 March 2014, and fined $1000.00 which is to be paid by 31 October 2014 or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison with hard labour.

Ricaldo Rochester of Newton Ground was convicted for the offences of Riding Pedalcycle At Night Without Light and Riding Pedalcycle Without Due Care and Attention, which were committed on 21 October 2014, and fined $100.00 for the Riding Pedalcycle At Night Without Lights and fined $300.00 for Riding Pedalcycle Without Due Care and Attention, which are to be paid by 07 November 2014 or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison for each offence.

Gilbert Herbert of Main Street, St. Paul Village was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention which was committed on 04 August 2014, and fined $600.00 which is to be paid by 31 October 2014 or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison.

District “A” Magistrate’s Court

Terrance Huggins of New Road was convicted for the offences of Threatening Language and Driving Without Seat Belt which were committed on 15th October 2014, and fined $600.00 for Threatening Language which is to be paid by 31 October 2014 or in default will serve three (3) months in prison and $100.00 forthwith for Driving Without Seatbelt or in default will serve (14) fourteen days in prison.

Child Fell From Moving Vehicle

Officers of the Sandy Point Police Station are investigating a traffic accident which occurred on Saturday 18 October 2014, along the Island Main Road at Sandy Point which resulted in a child being transported to the hospital.

Initial investigation reveal that Motor Pick-up P 9675 owned and driven by Derrick Lake of Mount Idle was travelling from Burkes Project to the Island Main Road, when two (2) children; an eight (8) and eleven (11) year old boys got onto the moving vehicle without the permission of driver. The eight (8) year old fell from moving vehicle and sustained injuries.
