Police Press Release: Firearms and Ammunitions Seized

In keeping with its imitative in taking our streets back, on Monday 6th January 2014 between the hours of 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm, the Drug Squad of The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force collaborated with Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise Department, Enforcement Division based on an intelligence and surveillance lead an operation that resulted in seizing firearms and ammunitions.

The operation started at Basseterre and ended at Sandy Point with the execution of Stop and Search Operation, during which a barrel was discovered with three (3) fire arms and thirteen (13) rounds of ammunition in boxes of soap powder. The fire arms are two (2) semi automatic pistols and one (1) revolver.

One person is currently in police custody assisting with this investigation, while others are being sought.
