Officers of Division “B” of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force assisted by the SSU and SKN Defence Force executed four search warrants for illegal drugs, arms and ammunition on various premises in St. Pauls on July 29th 2015. The search yielded over 200 marijuana plants on two of the premises.
Mark Browne of Willett’s Project and Niall Francis of Willette’s Estate were subsequently arrested and charged for possession of Marijuana, cultivation of Marijuana and possession with intent to supply.
The operation was part of the Division’s implementation of aspects of the six point plan of action to reduce violent crime.
The cultivation and theft of Marijuana has in the pass fueled violent attacks involving firearms and several murders within the Division. These operations therefore, are geared towards removing the source of contention among the rivals and to restore confidence in the Police among the citizenry.
