Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 17, 2018 (RSCNPF): Further investigations have taken place into a report made to the Police on Thursday (March 15) stating that a female juvenile was physically and sexually assaulted. Though the child did experience an unfortunate situation, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has concluded that the details of the incident are not as reported.
We are happy to inform that no physical harm was done to the child and that the Probation and Child Protection Services is now involved to ensure that the necessary follow-up measures are taken to assist the child in every way possible.
As this is still a very sensitive matter, and considering the vulnerability of the child, we are asking members of the media and the public to respect the child’s privacy.
