PRESIDENT LIBURD EXTENDS BEST WISHES TO YOUNG CRICKETERS

President of the Nevis Cricket Association, Denrick Liburd was at the Charlestown pier on Wednesday 20th July, to see off three of Nevis’ talented cricketers.

He wished Ross Powell and Keon Pemberton all the best, as they journeyed to join their counterparts in the Leeward Islands under 19 team, for the WICB regional under 19 tournament.

He asked Powell to bring back lot of runs and asked Pemberton to get a lot of wickets and make some runs as well.

He urged them to reach their full potential during the tournament and opined that they could well be representing the West Indies at the next under 19 world cup.

He also had words of encouragement for young Carlon Tuckett who is the only selectee for Nevis in the Leewards under 15 team which starts its campaign in the regional under 15 tournament next Monday.

He wished Carlon much success and many outstanding all round performances.

In an interview with Communications Officer in the Ministry of Social Development, Miss Sharlene Martin, Pemberton and Powell indicated that they had done some preparations and were confident that they were up to the task of bringing back some great performances for themselves and their team.
