Proprietor of Old Road shop, shot during Robbery

Basseterre, St. Kitts- Fredrick ‘Gabby’ James of Old Road was reportedly robbed and shot by two masked assailants yesterday, August 9th 2015, at his superette that is located on the main road, Old Road.

Investigations revealed that two masked men, dressed in dark clothing demanded money from the shop owner; and as a result of his non-corporation, he was shot in his left leg. The victim indicated that only one of the assailants was armed.

Investigations also revealed that a Dr. Charles Warner was also in the store with the wounded, where he too was robbed. The assailants allegedly took his wallet which contained his personal effects and a sum of money.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is appealing to the public for assistance and information regarding this matter. Anyone with information can contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 467 1886/1887/1888 or the nearest Police Station, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS).
