Public Invited to Screening on the Folklore of St. Kitts and Nevis

Residents of St. Kitts and Nevis are invited to attend a public screening of a video highlighting the rich folklore traditions of the Federation. The event will take place on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at CUNA, Fortlands.

The video has been produced as part of the country’s submission to UNESCO for possible inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

It features insights from traditional knowledge bearers who discuss the African roots of the Federation’s cultural performances, as well as the importance of preserving and passing on these traditions to future generations.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and learn more about this important national initiative aimed at safeguarding and celebrating the cultural heritage of St. Kitts and Nevis.
