The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force reminds the public to exercise heightened care and responsibility during the Easter weekend, from Good Friday to Easter Monday, as increased activity is expected across beaches, roadways, and public spaces.
With typically breezy to windy conditions during this period, sea conditions may become unpredictable, and roads are expected to be busier than usual.
Members of the public are therefore advised to:
✅ Observe all speed limits, particularly in high-traffic and residential areas
✅ Refrain from driving under the influence of alcohol or any impairing substances
✅ Drive with due care, attention, and consideration for all road users
✅ Secure personal property and valuables at all times, including vehicles, homes, and belongings
✅ Exercise caution while sea bathing, as tides and surf may be stronger than usual
✅ Maintain strict supervision of children at the beach and in public spaces
The RSCNPF encourages everyone to play their part in keeping tragedy at bay—especially while enjoying time at the bay—and to ensure that this Easter weekend is safe and enjoyable for all.
Let’s look out for one another.
