The Nevis Disaster Management Department is encouraging all residents and organisations across the island to participate in the CARIBE WAVE 2026 Tsunami Exercise on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

This regional exercise aims to strengthen tsunami preparedness across the Caribbean and provides communities with an opportunity to practice how to respond in the event of a tsunami threat.

Participants are encouraged from all sectors, including businesses, schools, early childhood centres, government agencies, mariners, faith-based organisations, volunteers, persons with disabilities, and residents living within tsunami hazard zones.

⚠️ Reminder: This activity is only a drill.
If you see or hear messages stating “Exercise! Exercise! Exercise!”, it indicates that a drill is in progress. It is not a real emergency.

In the event of an actual tsunami threat, the public will receive official emergency alerts from the relevant authorities.

Be prepared. Stay safe.
