RED TRIUMPHS AT ST. JAMES’ PRIMARY

By Curtis Morton

The roll at the school may be small but the St. James’ Primary school sports 2018, was truly of a high standard.

The meet was held at the school’s grounds on Wednesday 6th March, under the patronage of Miss Hyleta ANGEL Leader.

The meet attracted a fair sized crowd and this was one meet that excited the parents so much that they were constantly seen running around the track with their children.

After the march past, the athletes competed in the 400; 200; 100; 4X00; 4X200; 1200 meters races, along with fun races such as lime and spoon and a new innovation, the cricket pads race, which saw male athletes racing to a pair of pads; strapping them on and then racing back to the finish line.

The end result in terms of points was as follows:

Red house-264 points-champions

Gold house-234 points

Green house -214 points
