Reggae Boyz Get The Better Of Sugar Boyz

Curtis Morton

In front of a huge crowd at the Warner Park Football stadium the Jamaica Reggae Boyz defeated the St. Kitts-Nevis Sugar Boyz, 3 goals to 1.

The match was played on the evening of Thursday 26th April and started off with both teams being quite wary of each other.

Later, however, as the game intensified the crowd really got into the action.

The Reggae Boyz commenced their domination when in the 22nd minute, Justin Springer found himself under pressure and scored an ‘own goal.’

The quick follow up by the visiting team came in the 24th minute before the home team could settle.

Add to that, a third, in the 36th minute and the home supporters appeared despondent.

Then in the 54th minute Kennedy Isles became the local hero, when he jammed one home, much to the joy of the home fans.

Despite the keen exchanges, no more goals were scored for the remainder of the game.
