Renal Society to Host 5th Annual Walkathon

Charlestown-Nevis–President of the Nevis Renal Society, Miss Sherolyn Pemberton and her PRO, Miss Florine Williams revealed earlier in the week that the society will be hosting its fifth annual walkathon on Saturday 28th May.
The walk will commence at 6 am sharp at the Gateways restaurant, situated at Cades Bay and the walkers will proceed along the island’s main road and make a left turn at the bypass road at Pinneys.
Next, they will make a right turn and head down Craddock Road and make another right turn at the bottom of Craddock Road and culminate at the site of the former Artesan Village.
A very limited number of T-shirts are available at just 40.00 EC and a very nutritious breakfast will be available to all the persons who register.
Additionally. There will also be some special prizes and surprises which will include prizes for the oldest male and female to complete the walk; fist male and female to complete the walk and the youngest male and female to complete the walk.
The major goal of the Nevis Renal Society is to raise funds to be able to assist persons suffering from renal failure, financially and otherwise.
All walkers are asked to be at the starting point at least fifteen minutes before the scheduled 6.00 am start.

The two ladies also made a plug for persons to contribute to their upcoming annual dinner in November and generally sought assistance from all and sundry in dealing with the now prevalent issue of renal failure.
