Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 04, 2016 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrest and or Convictions from the records of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period 03 March.
ARRESTS:
Arrested: Trevon Belle of New Road Housing was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply which were committed on the 3rd of March 2016 at Cayon Street.
CONVICTIONS:
COURT CONVICTIONS: At the High Court in the St.Christopher circuit presided over by Her Ladyship Madame Justice Marlene Carter in the case At the High Court in St Christopher Circuit Court in the matter DPP vs Athnelle Murray of Old Road who was indicted for House Breaking with Intent. The Jury deliberated and returned a guilty verdict. A social inquiry was ordered and sentencing will be done on 17th May, 2016.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
Traffic Accidents: There were 3 traffic accidents on March 3.
The Traffic Department removed one derelict vehicle from the Taylors Range area. The vehicle was transported to the Conaree Landfill.
Police conducted a total of 28 Vehicular Check Points and or Stop and Searches and several searches of abandoned properties on March 03. The check points and searches were done in efforts to ensure Citizen Safety, by removing any found Illegal Firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes.
