Report of Arrest, Convictions and Other Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 31, 2016 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrest and or Convictions from the records of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for period March 30, 2016.

ARRESTS/BAILED:
Arrested: Nigel Hanley of St. Johnson Avenue was formally arrested, charged and cautioned on a warrant in the first instance for Wounding with Intent. The incident occurred on March 19, 2016.

Arrested/Bailed: Jasmine Lake of Cleverly Hill, Sandy Point was formally arrested, charged and cautioned on a Warrant in the First Instance for the offence of Robbery which was committed on February 19, 2016 in Basseterre. Bailed: Lake was granted bail in the sum of $25000 and ordered to appear at Basseterre Magistrate Court on May 09, 2016 at 9 o’clock in the forenoon. She was required to surrender all travel documents and keep 100 feet from Virtual Complainant, and to report between 7am and 7pm on Wednesdays to the Old Road Police Station.

Arrested/Bailed: Anthony Nisbett of Verchilds Village was formally arrested, charged and cautioned on a Warrant in the First Instance for the offence of Robbery which was committed on February 19, 2016 in Basseterre. Bailed: Nisbett was granted bail in the like sum of $25000 and ordered to appear at Basseterre Magistrate Court on May 09, 2016 at 9 o’clock in the forenoon. He was required to surrender all travel documents and keep 100 feet from Virtual Complainant, and to report between 7am and 7pm on Wednesdays to the Old Road Police Station.

OTHER ACTIVITY:
Traffic Accidents: Six traffic accidents occurred on the Federation’s roadways on March 30. Two in Nevis (Newcastle and Nugents Village areas), and four in St. Kitts (two in the Old Road area, one in Sandy Point and one on the F. T. Williams Highway). Drivers are urged to exercise caution while driving.

Police continues to conduct Vehicular Check Points and or Stop and Searches and several searches of abandoned properties (Over 25 were done on March 30). The check points and searches were done in efforts to ensure Citizen Safety, by removing any found Illegal Firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes.
