Report of Arrests, Convictions and Other Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, November, 04 2016, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period 2-3 November.

ARREST AND BAIL
Arrested: Sylvester Hodge of Fort Thomas Road, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned in the First Instance for the offence of Assault committed on November 2nd 2016.
Arrested: Inebo Hendrickson of Malone Avenue was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 01.
Arrested: Cannajes Bass of Lower Monkey Hill was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on the following offences (1) Possession of Firearm, (2) Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 01.
Arrested: Mr Eddison Morris who resides at Upper Market, Street, was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Uttering a Forged document to wit a False Caribbean Community Skills Certificate.
Arrested: Jamal Parris of New Road St.Peters was arrested, formally charged and cautioned, for Possession of Cannabis. Bailed: Jamal Parris was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on the November 7th 2016.
Arrested: Junior Hodge of Main Street, Molineaux was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. Bailed: Junior Hodge was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on the November 8th 2016.
Bailed: Kendel Hamilton of Lover’s Lane, Cayon was granted bail in the sum of forty thousand dollars ($40,000.00) The bail condition is that the prisoner is to report to the Cayon Police Station between 6am to 6pm daily.

COURT CONVICTIONS:
In matters at the St. Christopher Circuit Court Criminal Assizes presided over by His Lordship Justice Trevor Ward, QC, in the case D.P.P vs Javel Leon Leader who was indicted for False Pretense concluded on Monday 31st October, 2016. The Jury returned and rendered a GUILTY verdict. The convict will be sentenced on 21st December, 2016.
In other Court matters, His Lordship confirmed trial dates for a number of accused persons. They are as follows: In case D.P.P vs Delacy Jacobs who was indicted for Larceny By Servant was set for trial on 30th January, 2017.
In case D.P.P vs a person who was indicted for Rape, the trial was set for 23rd January, 2017.
In case D.P.P vs Victor Challenger, Steve Adams, Candace Norford, Bertanio Marsham and Jeovanni Hodge who were indicted for Possession Of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition and Assault With Intent To Rob trial was set 02nd February, 2017.
Keshawn Carty who pleaded guilty to Wounding With Intent had his sentencing adjourned until 21st December, 2016.
St. Clair Christopher who was convicted for Indecent Assault had his sentencing adjourned until 26th December, 2016.
Tonicia Martin who pleaded guilty to Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm was sentenced to 24 months with a suspended sentence of one year and ordered to attend counselling sessions.
In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court which was presided over by His Honour Mr. Benjamin the following cases were heard and sentences handed down as follows:
(1) Peter Douglas of Garden Housing pleaded guilty to driving without insurance on July 21, 2016 and was ordered to pay $150.00 in 14 days or if in default serve one (1) month in prison. He also pleaded guilty to driving without a license and was cautioned.
(2) Noel Almeda, a resident in Frigate Bay pleaded guilty to driving an unlicensed vehicle and careless driving on October 288, 2106, and was cautioned. He also pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle when it was not insured and was ordered to pay $1000.00 in one (1) month or if in default serve (2) months in prison.
(3) Steven Flemming of Newton Ground pleaded guilty to driving without insurance on September 9, 2016 and was ordered to pay $1000.00 in one (1) month or if in default serve (6) months in prison. He also pleaded guilty to driving without a license and was ordered to pay $200.00 in to be paid in four (4) days or if in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison.
(4) Kevin Isles of Ponds Extension pleaded guilty to failing to comply with traffic sign on 15/4/16 and was ordered to pay $150.00 in 3 days.
(5) Winston Crooke of Ponds Pasture pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and was ordered to pay $750.00 in 6 weeks and if in default serve six (6) months in prison,
(6) Emmanuel Aidelomon of Wades Garden pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and was ordered to pay $750.00 in 10 days or if in default serve 21 days in prison.
(7) Keon Battice of Ponds Extension pleaded guilty to careless driving and was ordered to pay $400.00 in 1 month or if in default 21 days in prison. He also pleaded guilty to failing to report an accident within 24 hours and was ordered to pay $150.00 in 14 days.
(8) Heniy Casino pleaded guilty to careless driving and was ordered to pay $750.00 in 14 days or if in default serve 3 months in prison.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
Search Warrant Executed: Police executed a number of search warrants over the period of this report. The Warrants were executed in the following areas: Upper Market Street, Sandy Point, Old Road and St Peters.
Building and House Breaking Larceny: Police is investigating a number of Building/House breakings that have occurred over the period of this report. A House Breaking and Larceny occurred in Bay View, Camps St. Kitts and a Building Breaking and Larceny occurred at the Hill Top Bar on Nevis
Abandoned House and Property Search: Police continues to execute searches of abandoned Properties for controlled Drugs, Arms and Ammunition, on a recent search evidence indicating the use of the property for marijuana drying was discovered.
Traffic Accident: There were three (3) accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts during the period of this report
