Report of Arrests, Convictions and Other Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December, 14 2016, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period December 10th – 13th 2016.

ARREST AND BAIL:
Arrested: Lewis Powell, of Upper Shaw Avenue, was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with intent to Supply

Arrested: Diquan Maloney, of Upper Shaw Avenue, was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with intent to Supply

Arrested: Xavia Dore of Upper Shaw Avenue, was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with intent to Supply

Arrested: Rasheem Crossley of Fort Thomas Road was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with intent to Supply.

Arrested: Kamal Junior of New Road was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with intent to Supply.

Arrested: Walford Arthurton of Lovers Lane Cayon and Kurt Collins of Parrays Village, St Peters were both arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Obstruction.

Arrested: Joseph O’Flauherty of Shadwell Gardens, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Driving without Insurance. Bailed: Joseph O’Flauherty was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on January 5th 2017.

Bailed: Dashawn Liburd of Hamilton who was formally charged and cautioned for the offence of House breaking and Larceny in his own recognizance, he was granted bail in the like sum of $2500.00 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on December 13th 2016

Bailed: Kevon Chapman of Prospect who was formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of cannabis was granted bail in the like sum of $5000.00 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on December 13th 2016.

Bailed: Adam Sam of Gingerland who was arrested and charged for the offence of Larceny was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on 10th January 2017.

Bailed: Khyle Tweed of Bath Village who was formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Inflicting Grievous bodily harm was granted bail by the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, Nevis Circuit in the sum of $75000.00 for his appearance at the Nevis Circuit Court at a time and date not given. Inspector Bertie was informed.

COURT CONVICTIONS:
In matters at the Charlestown Magistrate Court presided over by Your Honour Miss Yasmine Clarke, Allan Broadbelt of Bath Village was convicted and sentenced to three (3) years imprisonment for the offence of Larceny , this sentence will run concurrently with the previous sentences he is currently serving.

OTHER ACTIVITY:
Search Warrant Executed: Police conducted a number of search warrants over the period of this report. They were in search for controlled drugs, arms and ammunition, stolen goods and document used in the commission of a crime. The warrants were executed in the following area: Fort Thomas Road, Upper Shaw Avenue, Pine Garden Shadwell and Hermitage Cayon

Traffic Accident: There were nine (9) Accidents on the federation’s roadways 4 in St. Kitts and 5 in Nevis during the period of this report

Citizen Safety: Police continue to conduct stop and searches, vehicular check points, searches of ferry terminals and marinas and mobile patrols around the Federation. These are being done in efforts to remove illegal firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.
