Basseterre, St. Kitts, February, 24 2017, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period February 20 – 22, 2017,
ARREST AND BAIL:
Arrested: Alexandra Andrew was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Malicious Damage committed on the February 16th 2017 at Mau Pau.
Arrested: Sabina Herbert of Lower Monkey Hill was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Wounding with Intent
Arrested: Wayne Lewis of Phillip’s Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for inflicting grievous bodily harm
Arrested: Leon Didder of Nisbett Settlement was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on an E-Form for the offence of Driving without insurance and Driving without a valid driver’s license.
Arrested: Eddison Taylor of Grove Park was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the following offences namely – Driving without insurance and Driving when he is not the holder of a valid driver’s license. He was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on February 28th 2017 .
Arrested: Michael Prendergast of Frigate Bay was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on an ‘E’ Form for the offences of Driving under the influence of Drug or Alcohol and Failing to give a Specimen. He was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 ECC for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on March 9th 2017.
Arrested: Delroy Stapleton of Lodge Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on for the offences of Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm and Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place. He was granted bail by His Honour Renold Benjamin in the sum of $25,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 6th March, 2017.
Bailed: Andrew Herbert of Caunt Street, Newtown who was charged for the offences of Receiving and Unlawful Possession was granted bail in the sum of $8000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 6th March, 2017. Bail was granted under the following conditions: Daily reporting to Basseterre Police Station between 6am and 5 pm.
(2) To keep away from New Pond Site and East Park Range (3) To keep on a curfew from 6pm to 6am . and (4) To surrender all travel documents.
Bailed: Delroy Claxton of Thibou Avenue who was charged for Receiving and Unlawful Possession was granted bail by for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 6th March, 2017. Bail was granted with the following conditions: Report twice weekly to the Basseterre Police Station (2) Surrender travel documents (3) To keep away from New Pond Site and East Park range (4) observe a Curfew from 6pm to 6am.
Bailed: Dequan Maloney of Upper Shaw Avenue who was charged for Receiving and Unlawful Possession was granted bail by for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 6th March, 2017. Bail was granted under the following conditions: (1) To report to the Basseterre Police Station twice weekly (2) Surrender travel documents (3) To keep away from New Pond Site and East Park Range.
Bailed: Jason Liddie of Parsons Village who was charged for Threatening Language was granted bail by for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 6th March, 2017. Bail was granted with the following conditions: (1) Not to have any contact with nor to interfere with virtual complainant whether by himself or through the actions of servants /agents (2) To keep at least 100 ft from virtual complaint.
Bailed: Shevon Richards of Mount Idle Sandy Point who was charged with the offence of Wounding With Intent committed on December 17th 2015 at Sandy Point was bailed in the sum of $30,000.00 ECC for his appearance at The District ”B” Magistrate Court on March 6th 2017.
Bailed: Vaughan Paris of Mc Knight who was arrested on a Bench Warrant in the sum of $10,000 ECC for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 6th March, 2017.
COURT CONVICTIONS:
Mickhail Ward of Ponds Pasture, Basseterre who was charged for the offence of Possession of Ammunition pleaded guilty at his trial and was sentenced to six (6) months imprisonment. His sentence was suspended for 1 year to be of good behaviour and if he commits any offence within that period he will be committed to serve a sentence of six (6) months. (
OTHER ACTIVITY:
Search Warrant Executed: Police executed a number of search warrants over the period of this report. The Warrants were executed in the following areas: Shadwell Gradens, Sprot Street, Molineux Village and Parray’s Village. They were done in search of for drugs, guns and ammunition.
Abandoned Properties Search: Police continues to execute searches of abandoned properties; most recent searches were done in the following areas: Nevis Street, Upper Thibou Avenue and Upper Stoney Grove (Nevis), a total of Seventy six (76) Cannabis plants ranging from seedlings to two (2) feet in height were found and uprooted. The plants were seized by the Police.
Marijuana Plants Uprooted: Officers reported that the discovered, uprooted and seized three hundred and forty one (341) marijuana plants ranging from seedling to five feet in the back area of Tabernacle.
Traffic Accidents: There were seven (7) accidents on the federation’s roadways (4) in St. Kitts and (3) in Nevis during the period of this report.
