Report of Arrests, Convictions and Other Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 05, 2017 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period December 15- 23, 2017.

ARRESTED AND BAILED:

Arrested: Chelston Phillip of Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Wounding.

Arrested: Clive Francis of Newton Ground Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of Firearm. The incident took place on the Island Main Road in Boyd’s Village.

Arrested/Bailed: Travis Huggins of Cayon was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance, Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle and Driving an Unregistered Vehicle. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the District ‘B’ Magistrate Court on January 15, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Wingrove George of Cleverly Hill, Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Misconduct in Public Office. The offence was committed between February16 and 17, 2015 while Mr. George held the public office of Supervisor of Elections. He was granted bail in the sum of $25,000. The conditions set by the court are that Mr. George must surrender his travel documents upon bail being granted, must not leave the state until the determination of the matter and to report to the Frigate Bay Police Station every Monday and Friday between 6 a.m. and 12 a.m.

Arrested/Bailed: Alexander Samuel of Conaree was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Driving Without a Licence and Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on January 08, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Crispin Carey of Tabernacle was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Malicious Damage. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the District ‘B’ Magistrate Court on January 15, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Atniel Murray of Old Roadwas arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Driver’s Valid and Unexpired Licence. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on January 06, 2018.

Bailed: Alex Harris of Conaree Village, who was charged with the offences of Malicious Damage and Breaking with Intent respectively, was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.

Bailed: Elwood Benjamin of College Street Ghaut, who was charged with the offence of House Breaking and Larceny which was committed in June 2017, was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on January 08, 2018.

Bailed: Sheldon Steve Shield of Tree Top Alley, Sandy Point, who was charged for the offence of Malicious Damage, was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate court on February 05, 2018.

Bailed: Darren Moses of Davis Road, St.Pauls, who was charged for the offence of Driving Without Insurance, was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 his appearance on February 05, 2018 at the Dieppe Magistrate Court.

Bailed: Ron Hodge of Molyneaux, who was charged for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Driver’s Valid and Unexpired Licence, was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the District ‘B’ Magistrate Court on the January 15, 2018.

Bailed: Julian Matthews of Central Thibou Avenue, who was charged and cautioned for the offences of Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Driving Without License and Driving Without Insurance, was granted bail in the sum of $15,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on January 11, 2018.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

House Breaking and Larceny: Police responded to several reports of House Breaking and Larceny that occurred during the period of this report in the following areas: Bird Rock, East Park Range, Upper Monkey Hill, Ramsbury Site, Rove Project and Shadwell Gardens.

Search Warrant Executed: The police executed search warrants on properties in the areas of Saddlers Village, Irish Town Bay Road, Taylors, Ramsbury Site, Shadwell, Prospect Estate, Lower Market Street, West Farm, Sandy Point and Clay Ghaut (Nevis).

Abandoned Properties Searched: Police continued to execute searches of properties. Most recently they were done in the areas of Thibou Avenue, Nevis Street, Newtown, New Road, Durant Avenue, Roxborough Street, Taylor’s Area, Saddlers Village and McKnight.
