Report Of Arrests, Convictions And Other Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 12, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period March 08-12, 2018.

ARRESTS AND BAIL:

 Arrested: A juvenile of Prospect Estate was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Battery. 

 Arrested: Marley Norford of St. Pauls was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Building Breaking and Larceny which was committed at Kittitian Hill.

 Arrested:  Joseph Caines of St. Pauls was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Building Breaking and Larceny which was committed at Kittitian Hill.

 Arrested/Bailed: Althus Whyte of Prickle Pear Alley was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cocaine. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance in the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court on April 09, 2018.

 Arrested/Bailed: Calvin Nicholls of Sprott Street was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Battery. He was granted bail in the sum of $6,000 to appear before the Basseterre Magistrate Court on March 19, 2018.  

 Arrested/Bailed: Bruce Roberts of Bakers Corner was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on  May 14, 2018.

 Arrested/Bailed: Evan Daniel of Parsons Ground was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply and Obstruction under the Drug Act. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on April 02, 2018. 

 Arrested/Balied: Bernett Thompson of Brown Hill was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of Cannabis. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on March 13, 2018.

 Bailed: Nathan Chiverton of Carifesta Village, who was charged for the offence of Causing Death by Dangerous Driving, was granted bail in the sum of $20,000.

 Bailed: Nolberto Pie-Nicko of Upper George Street, Basseterre, who was charged for the offence of Unlawfully and Maliciously Wounding, was granted bailed in the  sum of $25,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on April 09, 2018. 

 Bailed: Steve Daniel, who was charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis, was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on April 09, 2018.

 COURT CONVICTIONS:

 In matters at the District “B” Magistrate Court, presided over by Ms. Karen Hector, the following matter involving the Licensing Authority was reported:

 Paul Huggins was fined $500 to be paid by May 16, 2018 or, in default, serve thirty (30) days in prison. 

 OTHER ACTIVITIES:

 Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Gardens, New Road, King Street, Cherry Gardens, Ramsbury Site, Brown Hill, Crosses Alley, Buckley’s , Pitcairn Street, Half-Way Tree, Bakers Corner and Irish Town Bay Road.

 Abandoned Properties Searched: Police continued to execute searches on properties. Most recently they were done in the areas of West Bourn Ghaut, St. Johnson Village and Newtown.

 Marijuana Plants Uprooted: Officers of the Anti-Gang Task Force (AGTF) reported that they uprooted a total of 1,308 plants ranging from seedlings to five (5) feet in height in the areas of Half-Way Tree and Old Road.
