Report Of Arrests, Convictions And Other Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 30, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period April 20-27, 2018.

ARRESTS AND BAIL:

Arrested: Jeanette Huggins of Lower Cayon was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Larceny by Servant, which was committed between January 01, 2018 and April 18, 2018.  

Arrested: Vere Harvey of Saddler’s Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.

Arrested: Corriene Belle of The Alley, Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition which took place in Sandy Point. 

Arrested: Zamika Richardson of The Alley, Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged  and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition which took place in Sandy Point.

Arrested: Rinel Richardson of The Alley, Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition which took place in Sandy Point.

Arrested: Kelvis Freeman of The Alley, Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition which took place in Sandy Point.

Arrested: Jakim Hazel of The Alley, Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition which took place in Sandy Point.

Arrested: Darren Walters of The Alley, Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition which took place in Sandy Point. 

Arrested: Elvin Mills of Soho Housing Development, Sandy Point, was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition which took place in Sandy Point.

Arrested: Steve Adams of Downing Street, Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition which took place in Sandy Point. 

Arrested: Omar Tucker of Lime Kiln was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition which took place in Sandy Point. 

Arrested: Hashim Douglas of The Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition which took place in Sandy Point. 

Arrested: Abdul Chacon of Lambert’s Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition which took place in Sandy Point.

Arrested: Okino Wellington of Saddler’s Village/Wade’s Garden was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence. 

Arrested: Jovan Huggins of Taylors Village, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of House Break-in with Intent that was committed on April 06, 2018 at Bird Rock.

Arrested/Bailed: Jovella Gumbs of Cayon Street, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Obstruction at the Bus Terminal. She was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for her appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on May 14, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Yohan Henderson of Central Street, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Threatening Language and Indecent Language which occurred at the Bus Terminal. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on May 14, 2018 

Arrested/Bailed: Tremaine Warner of Dieppe Bay was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 11, 2018. 

Arrested/Bailed: Jamal Matthew of Dieppe Bay was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 11, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Dwayne Ward of Dieppe Bay was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 11, 2018. 

Arrested/Bailed: Kadeem  Cooper of Dieppe Bay was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of  Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 11, 2018. 

Arrested/Bailed: Kezon Edwards of Dieppe Bay was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of  Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 11, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: TeJuane Gumbs of Dieppe Bay was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 11, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Oneil Hazel of Dieppe Bay was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 11, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Chevaughn Marshall of Newton Ground was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of  Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 11, 2018. 

Arrested/Bailed: Ron Francis of St. Paul’s was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 11, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Joseph Caines of St. Paul’s was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 11, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Jarval Isaac of Conaree was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018. 

Arrested/Bailed: Nkomo Connor of Main Street, Dieppe Bay was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence, Driving Without Insurance and Failing to Comply with Traffic Direction. He was granted bail in the sum of $8,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018. 

Arrested/Bailed: Desi Browne of Taylors Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and Driving Without Insurance. He was granted in the sum of $8,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Jason Gumbs of Shadwell Estate was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018.  

Arrested/Bailes: Hertha Jackson, a native of Jamaica who resides in Lower Monkey Hill, St. Peters was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Uttering a Forged Document. She was granted bail in the sum of $15,000 for her appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018. Her bail conditions are that she is to report to the Basseterre Police Station every Monday and Friday between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. 

Arrested/Bailed: Tremaine Warner of Main Street, Dieppe Bay was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle. He was granted bail in the sum of $8,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on May 10, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Chavern Scott of Stapleton Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Battery on Police, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct by Making Noise and Making Use of Indecent Language. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018. 

Bailed: Kyle Woodley of Newton Ground, who was formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Causing Death by Careless Driving, which was committed on April 13, 2018 in Sandy Point, was granted bail in the sum of $20,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018. His bail condition is that he is to surrender all travel documents.

Bailed: Shevan Liburd of Fern Street, Greenlands, who was charged with two counts of Malicious Damage, was granted bailed in the sum of $5,000 for her appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018.  The bail conditions are that Liburd is not to go to the Virtual Complainant’s Work place and to report to the Basseterre Police Station every Wednesday between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. 

Bailed: Lisa Francis of Conaree Village, who was charged for the offence of Assisting and Facilitating an individual to leave the Federation of St. Christopher and Nevis knowing that he was on bail for the offences and bound to appear before the District “A” Magistrate Court in an attempt to avoid him answering the said bail, was granted bail in the sum of $25,000 for her appearance before the Basseterre Magistrate Court on  June 04, 2018. Her bail conditions are that she is to surrender all travel documents and is to report to the Basseterre Police Station every Monday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. 

COURT CONVICTIONS:

In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, presided over by His Honour Mr. Reynold Benjamin, the following were reported:

– Clyde Bailey of Newtown was ordered $1,500 to be paid in four (4) months or, if in default, serve two (2) months in prison for Possession of Cannabis.  He was also fined $3,000 to be paid in four (4) months or, if in default, serve six (6) months in prison for the offence of Possession with Intent to Supply.

– Monroe Merritt of Cardin Avenue was ordered to pay $1,500 in two (2) months or, if in default, serve six (6) months in prison.

– Nevonne Tweede of Bakers Corner was ordered to pay $3,000 for the offence of Possession of Cannabis in four (4) months or, if in default, serve four (4) months in prison. For the offence of Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, he was ordered to pay $450 in four (4) months or, if in default, serve six (6) months in prison. 

In matters at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court, presided over by Her Honour Ms. Donna Harris, the following were reported:

– Alex Jules of Willetts Project, St. Paul’s who was charged for Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, saw both matters withdrawn as a result of the prosecutor witnesses failing to identify the Analyst Certificate and the three packages of Drugs.

– Evron Williams of Farm Site, Sandy Point who was charged with Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, saw both charges withdrawn as a result of the prosecutor witnesses failing to identify the Analyst Certificate. 

– Jamane Brown of Verchilds who was charged for Driving Without Due Care and Attention was fined $1,000 to be paid by May 20, 2018 or, if in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison.

– Zeroy French of Harris Village who was charged for Driving Without Due Care and Attention was fined $600 to be paid by May 17, 2018 or, if in default, serve seven (7) days in prison.

– Chavez Nital on Crab Hill Sandy Point who was charged for Failing to Produce his Driver’s Licence for inspection, saw the matter dismissed. For Driving Without Having a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence, he was fined $300 to be paid by August 30, 2018 or, if in default, serve seven (7) days in prison. For Driving When not Covered by Insurance, he was fined $300 to be paid by May 25, 2018 or, if in default, serve seven (7) days in prison.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

Abandoned Properties Searched: Police continued to execute searches on properties.  Most recently they were done in the areas of Dieppe Bay, Laguerite Village, George Street, Conaree, Fortlands and Farms Site, Cardin Avenue, Westbourne Ghaut, Tabernacle, Sandy Point and Fort Thomas Road.

Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Cayon, Taylor’s, Conaree, Dieppe Bay, Lower Monkey Hill Fort Thomas Road, Stapleton, The Alley (Sandy Point), Fortlands and George Street.
