Report Of Arrests, Convictions And Other Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 11, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period May 03 -10, 2018. 

ARRESTED AND BAILED:

Arrested: Dovnel Gardiner of Molineaux Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Uttering a Forged Driver’s License.

Arrested: Coy Gumbs of Newtown was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License. 

Arrested: Chizindu Ihunwo, a Nigerian National residing at Lime Kiln, was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Uttering a Forged Nigerian Driver’s License.

Arrested: Lashon Hendrickson of Pond’s Extension, Newtown was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply and Cultivation of Cannabis which were committed on May 04, 2018. 

Arrested/Bailed: Allan Phipps of New Road Housing Project was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 07, 2018. 

Bailed: Raheem Browne of Conaree, who was charged for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence, was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 07, 2018.

Bailed: Glenroy Liddie of Keys Village, who was charged on a Warrant, in the first instance, for the offence of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence, was granted bail in the sum of $25,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018.

Bailed: Damion Kelly of Stone Fort, Challengers was granted bail the sum of $15,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018.

Bailed: Shanelle Frett of Bird Rock, who was charged for the offence of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence, was granted bail in the sum of $8,000 for her appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on of June 07, 2018.

COURT CONVICTIONS:

In matters at the Charlestown Magistrate Court, presided over by Her Honour Miss Yasmine Clarke, the following were reported: 

– Aldre Maynard of Brick Kiln was convicted and cautioned for Driving Without Insurance.

– Jukeem Fraser of Brick Kiln was convicted and cautioned for Permitting to Drive Without Insurance.

OTHER ACTIVITIES: 

Marijuana Plants Uprooted: Officers of the Anti-Gang Task Force (AGTF) reported that they uprooted two hundred and ninety two (292) Cannabis Plants ranging from seedlings to two and a half (2 1/2) feet in height in an open area in Saddlers Ghaut. Also, Officers of the Special Services Unit (SSU) and the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) reported that they uprooted about thirty-six (36) Marijuana plants ranging from one (1) to two (2) feet in height at the South East Peninsula.

Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Wellington Road, Nevis Street, Mad House Alley, Saddlers Village, Prickley Pear Alley, Church Ground and Ponds Extension.
