. Report of Arrests, Convictions and Other Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 26, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period July 24-26 2018.

ARRESTS AND BAIL:

Arrested: Roosevelt Joseph of Camps Estate was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply and Importation of Cannabis.

Arrested: Kenroy Tweed of Belle View was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Forgery.

Arrested/Bailed: Ifeany John Ezeli of Camps was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Driving Without Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on August 13, 2018.

Bailed: Jamarie James of Brunder Avenue, Basseterre, who was charged for the offence of Robbery, which was committed on February 18, 2018, was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with the bail condition that he is to report to the Basseterre Police Station every Monday between 7a.m. and 6 p.m.

Bailed: Jovan Huggins of Taylor’s Village, Basseterre, who was charged for the offences of House Breaking and Larceny, which were committed on April 06, 2018, was granted bail in the sum of $40,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate’s Court on September 03, 2018, with the bail condition that he is to report to the Basseterre Police Station every Monday, Thursday and Saturday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

COURT CONVICTIONS:

In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, presided over by His Honour Reynold Benjamin, the following were reported:

– Natasha Whyte of Upper Monkey Hill, who pleaded guilty to the offence of Simple Wounding, was fined $5,000 to be paid in six (6) months or, in default, serve twelve (12) months in prison.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Mad House Alley, Sandy Point, Pitcairn Street and Canada Estate.
