Report Of Arrests, Convictions and Other Activties

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 05, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period March 29–April 03, 2018.

ARRESTS AND BAIL:

Arrested: Donte Samuel of Main Street, Old Road was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon to wit a Knife and Possession of Cannabis.

Arrested: Anthony John of Challengers Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.

Arrested: Hakeem Fredrick of Farm Site, Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of a Firearm with Intent to Commit a Felony.

Arrested/Bailed: Romel De La Rosa, a Dominican Republic national who resides at Cardin Avenue, was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired License and Driving Without Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $8,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on April 05, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed:  Denzil Challenger of Main Street, Old Road was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and Driving Without Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,500 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on May 14, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Vidal Wilkerson of Fort Thomas Road was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Battery on Police and Common Assault offences. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on May 01, 2018.

COURT CONVICTIONS:

In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, presided over by His Honour Mr. Reynold Benjamin, the following persons were convicted:

– Andrew Wilson of Lodge Village was convicted and fined $100 to be paid in fourteen (14) days or, in default, serve seven (7) days in prison for Failing to Comply with a Traffic Sign.

– M.C. Harold Wilson of Lodge Village was convicted and fined $150 to be paid in seven (7) days or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison for Failing to Comply with a Traffic Sign.

– Desroy Morgan of Lodge Village was convicted and fined for the following offences: (1) for Driving Without Insurance, he was convicted and fined $750 to paid in four (4) months or, in default, serve six (6) weeks in prison; (2) for Giving False Name/Address, he was convicted and cautioned; (3) for Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Licence, he was convicted and fined $250 to be paid in one (1) month or, in default, serve to (2) months in prison; and (4) for Driving Without a Relevant Licence, he was convicted and cautioned.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

Abandoned Properties Searched: Police continued to execute searches on properties.  Most recently they were done in the areas of Sandy Point, McKnight, Shaw Avenue and Salt Pond Alley.

Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Newtown, Bird Rock, Mad House Alley, Gillard Meadows, Salt Pond Alley, Dorset Village and Lower Thibou Avenue.
