CALIFORNIA, United States, Friday September 20, 2013 – Ever since Barbados’ pop princess Rihanna split from Chris Brown for the second time in May, rumours have been rife about a new romantic interest in the “Unapologetic” girl’s life.
Soon after the rekindled five-month romance with Brown fizzled out, the “Stay” singer was reportedly seen getting close to Canadian star Drake, with whom she had been involved briefly before her short-lived reconciliation with Brown.
Up until late last month, Drake and Rihanna were seen dining at New York City restaurant Sons of Essex and “seemed really close . . . and even shared a kiss,” according to an eyewitness account in Life & Style.
Another source told E! News: “Drake came in around 10 p.m. with 10 people and had four large security guards. Rihanna came about an hour later, alone, not counting her security.”
“They sat in a back room, the lights were dimmed, and there was sort of a barricade of tables blocking their group off,” the source added.
Another source told Hollywood Life that the pair also got “cosy” days later at an MTV VMAs afterparty.
“All the people inside were talking about them hanging together inside [the party],” the source said, adding that they left at the same time, but through different exits.
Adding good grist to the rumour mill, more recent reports have surfaced that the “Diamonds” singer has hooked-up with another old flame, British model Dudley O’Shaughnessy.
O’Shaughnessy appeared with the 25-year-old superstar in her 2011 video for “We Found Love” and rumour had it that the pair carried on the relationship after the cameras stopped rolling. Now friends close to the London-based model have claimed that he and Rihanna are back in touch.
“Rihanna and Dudley were really keen on one another when they were an item a couple of years ago,” a source was quoted as saying in entertainmentwise.com. “They had a really good time together and ended things amicably — travelling got in the way.”
The “Talk That Talk” girl, who was in Britain last week promoting her latest River Island fashion collection, is reportedly back in contact with the model, according to the source.
“It’s been easy for them to rekindle their romance and take things from where they left off. She goes weak at the knees for him, is crazy for his accent and only has good things to say about him.
“And there’s no question of how smitten he is. He always looks back fondly on their time together and is excited to be speaking to her again — getting things back on track while she was in town,” the source was quoted as saying.
