Senior leadership of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) recently represented the Federation at two major international security conferences, reaffirming the Force’s commitment to global cooperation in the fight against transnational organised crime. Commissioner of Police James Sutton and Assistant Commissioner of Police James Francis engaged with counterparts, policymakers, and experts from around the world to strengthen partnerships, share intelligence, and explore innovative strategies to combat evolving criminal threats.
From August 26th to 28th, 2025, Commissioner Sutton attended the International Drug Enforcement (IDEC) Commanders Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, held under the theme “Global Unity for a Safer Future: Strengthening Alliances Against Transnational Crime.” Discussions focused on counter-narcotics strategies, cybercrime trends, blockchain investigations, money laundering countermeasures, forensic intelligence, and the role of emerging technologies in law enforcement. The event also featured regional working groups, including sessions dedicated to the Caribbean.
Immediately after, from September 2nd to 3rd, 2025, Commissioner Sutton and Assistant Commissioner Francis participated in a high-level international forum hosted by the Republic of China (Taiwan) at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. Discussions focused on telecom fraud, human trafficking, cybercrime, drug trafficking, and illicit financial flows, reinforcing international cooperation to confront threats that extend beyond national borders.
