Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Supervisor (Life and Corporate Services) at Sagicor Life Inc. located on Central Street, Basseterre, St. Kitts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
o Support management in achieving the objectives and overall Agency targets while ensuring strict adherence to company policies, regulations and practices
o Ensure standards within the new business process are achieved and maintained
o Support an environment conducive to the production of high quality work by: ensuring that established operating procedures are followed and ensuring an equitable distribution of departmental responsibilities
o Direct and oversees all customer service functions to ensure the highest level of service is provided by providing day-to-day hands-on supervision and guidance to ensure that all Customer Service Representatives are responsive to customer needs
o Administer policies and procedures to ensure consistency for the customer experience
o Executes process improvement initiatives to improve staff and customer satisfaction, process efficiencies and cost control
o Ensure that the complaints policy guidelines are strictly monitored and adhered to
o Assist with staff training and development
o Establish performance goals for all reporting areas and conducts performance appraisals as required.
o Assist with system testing and project implementation as required
o Prepare monthly departmental reports (or any other reports as needed) and provides feedback to management.
o Prepare reconciliation of generated Check Plus cheques against Admin. Systems daily
o Responsible for the distribution of printed cheques
o Provide timely and accurate information for incoming queries
o Assist with reviewing and authorizing cheque requisitions for disbursements
o Conduct monthly audits of the various administrative functions performed by the Agency, to include but not limited to Clearing of Suspense, Bank Reconciliation and prepares and submits a monthly report or as required to the Agency Manager
o Assist with balancing of the cashiers at the close of business
o Ensure that existing client files are properly maintained
o Contribute to the attainment of team service standards and specified service metrics
o Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive documents, records, discussions and other information generated in connection with any assistance activities
o Escalate issues raised by customers which are beyond her scope to the Administrative Manager.
o Conduct filing on a weekly basis
o Perform any other duties as assigned
• Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in management or a related business field
At least two (2) years’ experience in the supervision of a customer service\finance environment
Sound knowledge of accounting principles
A high proficiency in the use of Microsoft office software
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
o Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills
o Ability to apply sound judgment and tact in resolution of administrative, customer service and financial management problems
o Flexibility and dependability in a dynamic work environment
o Previous experience within a financial services environment would be an asset
