The two youthful sailors who represented the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis at the 16th Annual Sol Optimist Championships held in Sint Maarten by the Sint Maarten Yacht Club on October 30th & 31st, 2021, have returned home.
Abhijith Srinivasan (9) and Skyla Connor (10), of Nevis, were the two representatives.
The competition consisted of two classes-Blue Fleet and Orange Fleet
The two youthful sailors from St. Kitts and Nevis, competed in the Orange class, with Skyla Connor taking third place
The Nevis Sailing and Aquatic Center and all of its representatives, are really proud of our sailors, noting that they have worked hard over the last couple of years and this has resulted in much improvement and experience and this will serve to motivate others to become actively involved in the sailing programs
The St. Kitts and Nevis Sailing Association thanks St. Kitts and Nevis National Olympic Committee for their support in sailing and the assistance given to send the athletes to these competitions.
Appreciation is also extended to both members of St. Kitts and Nevis Sailing Association; St. Kitts yacht club and the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing center.
Also to Coaches Nicholas Dupre, Nickhail Rogers and Jubal Sargeant; Ministry of Youth and Sports; parents; volunteers and all who contributed to their success and the success of the sailing programs in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
