Sailing : National Dinghy Championship Held

Results of the 2023 St Kitts and Nevis National Dinghy Championships. Hosted by the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center on July 1st and 2nd, 2023 off of Oualie Bay.

21 boats competed in the full course which is a record for us here in. We look forward to this competition continually growing as the sport of sailing continues to develop here in the Federation.

Optimist Green Fleet beach races:

3rd: Emijah Maynard

Most spectacular wipeout: Amadi Byron Hendrickson

Shoutout: Young 6year old William Guy for crewing on an RS Feva all weekend!
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Calypso boat Captained by Reynaldo Small for extending Calypso to the Championships as a Race Committee Boat.
Gratitude also goes out to Tom Deveaux (and his family) for the super fun patriotic trophies . This is not Tom’s first time making wooden trophies for us and we are very grateful to him for his support!
Thanks to the parents, athletes and volunteers who came together to make this regatta a success.
