BASSETERRE, SAINT KITTS AND NEVIS — As Saint Kitts and Nevis celebrates its 43rd Anniversary of Independence, citizens and residents across the Federation are called to showcase their national pride on National Patriotic Day, Friday, September 18, 2026.
Celebrated under the official Independence theme, “One People, One Vision, Endless Possibility,” the day serves as a powerful symbol of national unity, resilience, and shared identity. The nation is encouraged to display the national colours—green, yellow, black, red, and white—through dress, flag displays, and community celebrations across both islands.
“National Patriotic Day is a time to honour our shared history and celebrate the vibrant spirit that defines us as Kittitians and Nevisians,” said event organisers. “Whether at work, school, or in our local communities, we invite everyone to wave their flags high and demonstrate the boundless potential of our Federation when we stand together.”
Citizens, local businesses, schools, and community groups are encouraged to participate fully by flying flags, wearing national attire, and sharing their patriotic pride on social media using official celebration tags.
