Sarah Browne Gets To the 80 Mark

Jessups-Nevis- A brief ceremony was held at the Jessups Community Center on Thursday 20th September.
Representatives from the Ministry of Social Development, hosted a brief presentation ceremony, in honour of Ms. Sarah Browne, who celebrated her 80th birthday on Independence Day-19th September.
Coordinator of the Seniors Division at the Social Services Department, Miss Trudy Prentice, gave opening remarks and congratulated the celebrant on achieving the significant milestone.
The grand presentation of the day, was made by Deputy Director of the Social Services Department, Miss Joyce Moven, who presented Ms. Browne with a certificate and a fruit basket, complements of her Ministry and the City Drug Store.
In expressing thanks, Ms. Browne noted that although it was her birthday, it was actually a sad occasion, as there was a death in her family and most of her close relatives were away in St. Maarten because of the funeral service.
She however expressed thanks to God, to the Ministry of Social Development and to her seniors’ group family, who were also on hand, to share in the moment.
