As the Ministry of Education and Department of Youth and Sports Primary Schools’ Football tournament continued on Friday 26th October, at least two schools were guilty of breaking serious pledges they had made earlier that same day, as part of the international campaign against BULLYING.
Yes, it was a day when the students at the schools across the island, wore white tops, as an indication that their respective schools were bullying free zones and some made serious pledges that they will not be involved in any form of bullying.
Yet, at the ET Willet Park that same afternoon, the Ivor Walters Primary School (IWPS), beat up on a determined Nevis Academy team, with a scoreline of 6 goals to nil.
Shortly thereafter, the St. Thomas’ Primary School (STPS), followed suit by defeating the Maude Cross Preparatory School (MCPS), 5 goals to 1.
The one goal by the MCPS team, was a top shot off the boot of Thaine Clarke and was the climax of a super solo run.
In other matches played, Charlestown Primary (CPS), got the better of the Joycelyn Liburd Primary (JLPS), with a score line of 2 goals to nil and Elizabeth Pemberton Primary (EPPS), had a similar winning scoreline over VOJN.
