SDA Jets And GT United Secure Wins In Tape Ball League

The intriguing tape ball Cricket competition hosted by the Youth and Sports Department, continued on Saturday evening-27th October, at the ET Willet Park.

In the feature game of the evening, SDA Jets engaged the men from Rawlins.

The Rawlins team came to the Park, really hyped, after throwing a lot of verbal ‘threats’ at the opposition.

Curtis Morton Jr for the Jets, won the toss and immediately indicated that he would bat first.

Thereafter, he set the Park ablaze with his power hitting, before he was run out, after slipping in attempting a second run.

The Jets however, managed an even 100 runs, at the end of their 10 overs.

The Rawlins team struggled throughout, against the very accurate Jets bowling, with Skipper Carlon Smithen, like the proverbial cheese standing alone, until he attempted a foolhardy second run and was run out.

The Rawlins team succumbed at 53 for 8 from their 10 overs, with 8 year old Jaden Browne capturing his very first wicket at this level.
