Butlers-Nevis-The seniors of Nevis, closed out the year 2017, in grand style, with their final social event, which was held on Wednesday 13th December, at the Butlers community Center.
The event was superbly coordinated by newly installed Senior’s’ coordinator, Miss Trudy Prentice and her hard working staff.
The over fifty plus seniors got involved in the lusty singing of well-known Christmas carols; some recited poems (amazingly did some long ones from memory); some danced and others modelled.
Miss Trudy Prentice also presented several awards to some deserving seniors for their contribution to community development.
The proceedings were ably chaired by Mr. Roger Fyfield, who kept the event flowing smoothly and served to keep the seniors alert and lively.
Later, the seniors were treated to a sumptuous luncheon, which featured some of the usual Christmas delicacies.
