Charlestown-Nevis– On Sunday 30th September, a brief but very significant ceremony was held at the studios of VON radio.
Announcer, Marcellus Lee, made a surprise presentation to Elder Elroy Kelly, just moments before he featured in the weekly radio program, aired by the church, on Sunday evenings at 6 pm, known as ‘The Facts for Life Broadcast.’
Mr. Lee explained that Manager of the popular radio Station, Mr. Evered WEBBO Herbert, had deemed it necessary to present certain entities who have maintained a positive link with the station throughout the years, with ‘the manager’s award.’ This was all a part of the radio station’s celebration of its 30th year of broadcasting.
Mr. Lee in presenting the award, thanked the Seventh Day Adventist church on Nevis, for its dedication and service in presenting the gospel to the world via the radio station for many years.
The plaque read:

‘Only the best will do’
Elder Kelly, in accepting the award, noted that the church has been presenting the program via the radio station, for the last 14 years and thanked the management and staff for facilitating the church in spreading the gospel.
He wished the station many more years of positive existence.
