Shooting, Stabbing Mar Jouvert Jam Session in Tabernacle

Tabernacle, St. Kitts, August 7, 2018 – Violence erupted in Tabernacle, the home village of St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris.

According to credible reports a police officer discharged his weapon injuring Nigel Whyte of Cayon. Whyte was injured in the ankle.

The shooting reportedly took place after a Jouvert jam session and during an altercation in which Jamal Pemberton and Shaheem Alexander were stabbed.

The officer, who was said to be a part of an anti-gang squad engaged Whyte and he was shot in the lower foot just above the ankle.

Alexander was stabbed in the stomach just beneath the left breast and was rushed to the J N France General Hospital.

Pemberton is said to be seriously injured from a stabbing wound.
