Charlestown-Nevis-A brief but significant ceremony was held at the Elizabeth Pemberton Primary school (EPPS), on Thursday morning-19TH January 2023.
It was the unveiling of a brand-new sign for the school, bearing the image of the distinguished lady (now deceased) in whose honour the school is named Elizabeth Pemberton.
The sign was unveiled by her great nephew, Mr. Everton Griffin.
The important ceremony was held, even as the school celebrates its 11th year of existence at its current location.
Among those on hand for the ceremony were: Hon. Troy Liburd, Minister of Education et al; Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Sports, Mr. Kevin Barrett; Principal of the School, Mrs. Jessica Liburd and her staff and students of the school.
