The true embodiment of “small but tallawah” is former Newtown United F.C. player Zonia Marshall. Marshall has three caps for the U-20 Sugar Girls in the 2020 Concacaf Women’s U20 Championships where she scored a scored goal. Zonia is quite prolific in front of goal: in the SKNFA Women’s League, she is a regular fixture on the score sheet for Newtown F.C. and lifted multiple titles with the East Basseterre outfit.
Her performance has earned the midfielder a very rare opportunity abroad where she joined the SMI Undergraduate program, in Italy. She will study International Business Administration while playing for Rome City SC (the SMI professional academy).
