On Friday 26th October, at the ET Willet Park, a brief but significant ceremony was held, prior to the start of round three of the ongoing Primary Schools’ Football tournament, being coordinated by the Ministry of Education and the Department of Youth and Sports.
The ceremony was chaired by Director of Sports on Nevis, Mr. Jamir Claxton, who introduced the Technical Director of the SKNFA, Mr. Jeffrey Hazel.
Mr. Hazel, before presenting the Football gear to the coaches and other representatives of the Primary and Secondary Schools on the island, indicated that the SKNFA was committed to seeing the improvement of the game on the island and noted that in a recent tournament, there were at least five young players for Nevis in a St. Kitts-Nevis team.
He used the opportunity to congratulate the organizers of the Primary Schools’ tournament and bade the teams success.
