The Ministry of Tourism, the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA), and senior executives from Carnival Corporation convened a meeting with key stakeholders across Saint Kitts’ tourism sector on Tuesday, November 03, to discuss the cruise line’s planned commencement of turnaround operations in the Federation in 2027.

The engagement provided an important opportunity for government officials and Carnival Corporation representatives to outline the scope and operational requirements of turnaround operations, while highlighting the potential economic and commercial benefits and opportunities these activities are expected to create for local businesses and tourism stakeholders.

The interactive session also provided a platform for stakeholders to seek clarification, raise pertinent questions and gain a deeper understanding of the initiative, its operational implications and the opportunities for local participation.

The meeting represents an important step towards ensuring that Saint Kitts’ tourism stakeholders are informed, prepared and positioned to capitalise on the opportunities that Carnival Corporation’s expanded operations are expected to bring to the Federation.
