Nevispages Reporter

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS) A picture of a snake has been circulating on social media from the evening of Friday, October 24, 2014 and it was reported that it was found in Rawlins Village, Gingerland.

Sometime after 9:00 p.m. on Friday, a Rawlins Village resident posted a picture of a snake with the picture caption ‘just found this on my road’.

The snake was about 4-5 feet and was red, black and brown in colour. Residents believe that the snake found was a Corn Snake.

However, Nevispages contacted Chief Veterinarian in the NIA, Dr. Patricia Bartlette who indicated that she has no report of a snake being found in Rawlins.

As a result the nature of the reptile is still unknown.
