SOCIAL SECURITY CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF THE SELF EMPLOYED COVERAGE

Charlestown-Nevis-Friday 1st July was a very significant day in the history of the St.Christpher and Nevis Social Security Board.

On that day, the prestigious institution, celebrated its 20th anniversary of the self employed coverage to the citizens of St.Kitts and Nevis.

Several events have been planned in both islands to mark the occasion and the theme being utilized is: “In solidarity with the self employed to secure their future.’

On Friday 1st July, Minister responsible for Social Security and Premier of Nevis, Hon. Vance Amory, addressed the nation and implored all self employed persons who have not yet taken the opportunity to secure their future, to do so speedily. He noted that already some 246 self employed individuals are reaping the benefits of contributing to the fund, by now enjoying their pensions, which will be paid to them for as long as they live.

Sunday 3rd July, there was a corporate worship service on St.Kitts.

Thursday 7th July-Self employed clinic at the St.Kitts head office

Sunday 17th July-Sports and Social club Football match versus the Self employed

Wednesday 20th July-Self employed clinic day at the Nevis office

Official opening ceremony for the Nevis Branch office

Sunday 24th July-Corporate worship service on Nevis

Monday 25th July-Televised panel discussion

Friday 29th July-Launch of Self employed business directory.
