Social Security Presents To Literary and Debating Society

Charlestown-Nevis-On Wednesday 7th March, a brief handing over ceremony was held at the Charlestown Sixth form College.

On that day, Senior Inspector at the Nevis Branch office of the St. Kitts-Nevis Social Security Board, Mr. Orvis Tyson, presented a cheque of an undisclosed amount, to the Nevis Literary and Debating Society, which incidentally recently returned from Anguilla, after successfully defending their title as debating champions in the Leeward Islands.

The cheque was accepted by Principal of the Charlestown Secondary School, in the absence of Mrs. Pamela Pemberton, Director of the Sixth form College, who had incidentally lost her mom, that very morning.

He thanked the Social Security board for its generosity and noted that the donation would help to advance the cause of the debaters in their future competitions.

Also expressing gratitude on behalf of her team, was President of the NLDS, Miss Vincia Gumbs, who wished the Social Security Board, continued success in its endeavours.
