Sparrows fly to victory at STPS

The action was fast and furious. It seemed as if every single athlete was striving not only to win for his or her house but also bidding for a spot on the inter primary team.
There was a huge gathering at the St.Thomas’ Primary School ground on Wednesday 5th March as the joint defending inter Primary champions, St.Thomas’ Primary School, held its annual sports meet. The distinguished patron for the day was the former sprint queen, Natalie Cozier.
The athletes competed in the 80; 100; 200; 400; 800 and 1200 meters events and then the exciting 4 X 100 AND 4 x 400 meters events.
When the points were tabulated at the end of the meet, it was the high flying green Sparrows who were celebrating

Up to early this morning, the officials at the school were still tabulating to ascertain the second placer between Blue Hawks and Orange Eagles who were locked in a tight race for second place
