Sports minister saddened by the death of US Olympian Tori Bowie

Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Olivia Grange, has expressed sadness at the passing of Tori Bowie, United States Olympian and world champion.
Minister Grange said, “Although she was not one of ours, Tori, who established herself as a sprinter of class, provided great competition for our top women sprinters.
“She will certainly be missed from the international circuit.
“My deepest sympathy to her family and the track and field community.”
Bowie, 32, was found dead at her Florida home, her management company announced on Wednesday.
She won silver in the 100 metres and bronze in the 200m at the 2016 Rio Olympics and then ran the anchor leg on a 4x100m team to take gold. A year later she won the 100m at the 2017 World Championships in London. She also helped the 4x100m team to gold.
