SPORTS MINISTER VISITS AILING NEVISIAN HERO

Hon. Eric Evelyn, Minister responsible for Sports in the Nevis Island Administration, took time from his busy schedule, to pay a visit to ailing Nevisian Cricketing hero, Elquemedo Willet, at the Alexandra hospital, on Wednesday 21st February.

Minster Evelyn met and consoled Mrs. Willet and then spoke to Mr. Willet who is currently warded at the Surgical Ward.

The Minister assured the family of his administration’s concern for the welfare of the former West Indies left arm leg spinner, who fell from the officials’ stand at the ET Willet Park on Tuesday.

He pledged the administration’s fullest support, in assisting in the recovery of the beloved sportsman.

Also visiting with the family at the same time, was former Sports Minister, Mr. Hensley Daniel.

The latest update suggests that Mr. Willet may have suffered damage to his neck and may be flown overseas for urgent medical attention.
