Nevis Film Commissioner
Since entering the Nevis film industry in 2022, Atiesha Browne has steadily built her experience, skills, and creative confidence, starting as a member of the Costume Department and recently stepping into the role of Costume Designer.

With each production, Atiesha has developed valuable skills in detailed script breakdowns, character research, wardrobe continuity, on-set support and, most importantly, translating the director’s creative vision into authentic visual storytelling.

For Atiesha, costume is about far more than choosing clothes that simply look “nice.” It is about understanding a character; their personality, lifestyle, environment and development, and using wardrobe to help tell their story.
Atiesha is passionate about finding ways to represent our people and our culture authentically while presenting them to an increasingly global audience through film.

That passion took another important step forward recently when Atiesha confidently assumed the role of Costume Designer for Melody Heals the Soul. Director Tamika R. Guishard had this to say about her work:
“Atiesha did an absolutely amazing job as Costume Designer on MELODY HEALS THE SOUL. Everything looked authentic and thematically harmonious with what we’d discussed. Her attention to detail was incredible; she actually delivered the best mock-up of wardrobe options that I have seen to date. I cannot wait to work with her again.”

Words like these are a wonderful testament to Atiesha’s growth as a creative professional and to the care she brings to every production. With each project, her passion for film continues to grow. She is committed to expanding her knowledge, embracing new creative opportunities, and helping to tell stories that authentically represent St. Kitts and Nevis on screen.

As Nevis Film Commissioner, I could not be more proud of Atiesha and the dedication, creativity, and professionalism she brings to every film set.
