Spring Hill resident sustains minor injuries in traffic accident

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- A Spring Hill resident was today Wednesday, May 28, 2014 transported to the Alexandra Hospital for treatment after being involved in a traffic accident.

Police Officers at the Traffic Department on Nevis responded to a traffic accident that occurred in the Four Seasons area.

At the scene Nevispages witnessed a black Toyota car, PA 4813 which is owned by Lisa Herbert of Spring Hill in a nearby ghaut. According to officers who were on the scene investigating the matter, it appeared that Herbert was driving from the Cotton Ground area and was traveling to Charlestown when the accident occurred.

One police official informed this media house that at the end of April, 2014, 82 traffic accidents have been reported to police. These accidents involved two fatal accidents that have claimed three lives.

Police are advising motorists to drive with caution and to observe all rules of the road.
