BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, February 5, 2018 (St Kitts -Nevis Labour Party)- According to the St Kitts -Nevis Labour Party: the deceit, scandals, and desperate tactics of Timothy Harris and his government are plenty, but still no match for the hard-working, principled and dedicated leaders of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP).
Like the others of the movement, Hon. Konris Maynard is receiving his fair share of verbal abuse from those who incompetently govern St. Kitts and Nevis, and their supporters.
At the SKNLP’s first press conference for 2018, one of the PAM/CCM/PLP government’s henchmen sent directly by Harris himself, accused Hon. Maynard of not being visible or accessible to the persons of his district, Constituency #3.
Identifying straightaway the deceit and the Harris government’s weak attempt at deception, Maynard confidently refuted the claim.
“I am one of the most accessible representatives. I made a conscious decision to keep my office open since the last general elections, except for when the fire occurred when we couldn’t have it open because of the situation.”
Maynard continued, “…Also, one of the reasons why we had such a resounding victory in constituency #3, was my ability to reach across all party lines—PAM, Labour, PLP. As I continue to walk through the constituency, I’ve never had that question put to me; people know that I am extremely accessible, even those who don’t support me, they always feel encouraged that they can have a conversation with me at any time.”
Konris dubbed the question from Harris’ messenger as a ‘test question’.
“I would think that that was really a test question. Even from my days as a calypsonian, no one ever accused me of being someone who would shy away, it is my nature to engage.”
The PAM/CCM/PLP government is trying their best to discredit and slander the name of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party with the desperate hope that the populace will again fall for their distraction tactics as they struggle to disguise their mountain of failures and ghastly mismanagement of government funds and resources.
Don’t be fooled!
