Defending champions St. Thomas’ Primary School faced off against Joycelyn Liburd Primary, the top team from the preliminary league stage. From the opening whistle, St. Thomas’ displayed their intent, mounting relentless pressure on the Joycelyn Liburd defence. Their persistence paid off when they broke the deadlock with a well-taken goal.
Joycelyn Liburd regrouped and came out strong in the second half, pressing hard for an equaliser. However, a brilliant counterattack down the left flank, followed by a pinpoint cross and a classy finish, sealed the victory for St. Thomas’ just minutes before full-time.
